Mikey is a 2013 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh. Racciato’s high school career was outstanding, being recognized as the Express Times and Allentown Morning Call Wrestler of the Year in both 2012 and 2013. During his career he amassed a won-loss record of 186 wins against just 8 losses! In his career, he captured four District XI Championships and three South East Regional titles. As a freshman, Racciato lost in the 130 lb. SE Regional final (8-6) to eventual state champion Joey Spisak from Boiling Springs. The following week, Racciato dropped a 9-8 decision in the PIAA semi-finals to Shadyside Academy’s Frank Martelotti before battling back to earn the bronze medal. The loss to Martelotti was his last at the PIAA state tournaments as he captured consecutive state titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013. For his efforts in the 2013 tournament, he was named the PIAA Class AA Outstanding Wrestler by voting members of the media in attendance. Mikey went on to the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a 4-year starter. At Pitt, Mikey was a two-time ACC Finalist and Champion in 2015 along with being a 2x NCAA qualifier.
